December 2, 1992…the day Majerle’s Sports Grill was born.  Established on the principles of providing a fun, family-friendly environment with delicious bites and beverages at affordable prices.  And, of course, to be known as THE place to enjoy watching your favorite sports programming.

Over the years, Majerle’s has lived up to those goals, as evidenced by the recognition we’ve received both locally and nationally, including:

  • “25 Best Sports Bars in America” (Sports Illustrated)
  • “Best Sports Bar in Arizona” (Arizona Republic)
  • “Best Burger in Phoenix” (AOL City Guide)
  • “Best Happy Hour” (Downtown Phoenix Partnership)

In addition, Majerle’s has been featured on NBC Sports, TNT Sports and ESPN as well as nearly every local media outlet.

Simply put, Majerle’s is a classic sports bar & grill, which is fitting given its roots…starting with its namesake, Phoenix Suns legend Dan Majerle.  A fan-favorite over the course of his career as player, broadcaster and coach, Dan has always been known for his strong work ethic and as someone who cares about others.  It’s those classic traits that provide the foundation for Majerle’s Sports Grill.

Executing Dan’s vision for Majerle’s, AJ Sulka serves as president and managing partner, having been a member of the management team since Majerle’s was founded.  A Phoenix native and alumnus of the University of Pacific where he played on the school’s basketball team, AJ is responsible for all aspects of the business at each location.

The first Majerle’s location opened in Downtown Phoenix in the oldest commercial building in the city.  Originally named the Fry Building, this historical landmark dates back to 1885 and has evolved over the years, having been a hat store, candy shop, grocery store, saloon, barbershop and pharmacy.  Not surprisingly, it’s listed on the Phoenix Historic Property Register and the National Register of Historic Places.  A true classic.

In addition to Downtown Phoenix, Majerle’s also has a location at Desert Ridge Marketplace in North Phoenix.  Regardless of which Majerle’s you visit, you can be sure you’ll enjoy the same high-quality service, tasty menu and friendly atmosphere.
